Which is better plastic or steel?

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

We have discussed in detail many of our products. When we think of lockers, toilet accessories and partitions we think of steel. Today we will focus on our products that are made from plastics.

Plastic Lockers
Anyone who knows anything about lockers knows there’s no one tougher on them than teenage girls. So, to make our new plastic lockers, we’ve taken high impact, high density polyethylene and formed it under high pressure into 3/8″ thick, rigid panels that can withstand everything a teenage girl or anyone else can dish out.

The result is that plastic lockers are far more resistant to denting than metal, wood, or phenolic lockers. Plastic lockers are totally rustproof, too, because all structural components are one hundred percent plastic down to their heavy-duty hinges, fasteners, and joints assembly.

Advantages
Lockers so durable, they can withstand the most destructive force found in nature… teenagers!  A non-porous surface makes lockers graffiti resistant and easy to clean. Since color goes all the way through, scratches, if incurred, are also easy to repair

Plastic lockers offer exceptional impact resistance and because water and chlorine can’t harm them, they’re the smart choice for swimming pools or other wet environments.

Plastic Toilet Partitions
Choose solid plastic / polymer (HDPE) partitions for areas where there is heavy traffic. These partitions never need to be painted, and resist dents and chips. Choose solid plastic for low maintenance. Solid plastic partitions resist water, cannot delaminate and tolerate high humidity and corrosive environments.

Plastic Laminate Toilet Partitions
Want affordable partitions and fine design? Plastic laminate partitions combine these features. Bonded under pressure to a particle board core, these laminate finishes meet or exceed all NEMA standards.

The manufacturer bands the edges of all the components before laminating them giving you maximum water runoff and durability.

Choose from a variety of colors and installation types. Want affordable partitions and fine design? Plastic laminate partitions combine these features.

Baby Changing Tables
Modern styling and easy- to-clean surface is constructed of 100% high density polyethylene. Sturdy child protection has 250 lb.load capacity, concave changing surface, and safety strap.

Easy opening-closing pneumatic mechanism has oversized hinge and safety stop system. Sealed components and absence of “pinch points” promote safe operation. The built-in dispenser for towels or sanitary liners, hooks for diaper bag and purse, plus multi-lingual instructions add friendliness and convenience.  Surface mounted. Only 4″ deep when closed.

Lockers N More Saving Schools Money

Tuesday, April 13th, 2010

Schools are constantly looking for ways to save money on standard equipment such as school lockers by every means possible. Before the advent of the internet, schools were limited in their choice of suppliers by geography and perhaps even by district rules themselves. Today, schools are free to shop around and get the very best deals possible, and the best way to do that is by purchasing online. Here are 3 ways buying online saves schools money

1. Lower Prices through Competition Save Money

Just 20 years ago, a school’s hands were virtually tied when purchasing school lockers as well as gym lockers and other similar equipment. High shipping costs prohibited buying equipment from long distances and so locker suppliers faced limited competition when it came to quality, variety of choice, and price.

Online school lockers suppliers all across the country are constantly monitoring their competitors’ prices, adjusting their own prices downward if necessary and thus keeping everyone’s costs down. The best online supplier will beat their competitors’ lowest price on identical quality products or refund the difference on an advertised price once a purchase is made. It is a nationwide marketplace now and not just a local one anymore: by buying online, schools get a lower price, and that saves money!

2. Lower Shipping Costs Save Money

When a large amount of schools buys gym lockers from the same high quality online supplier, the supplier is able to negotiate much lower shipping prices with trucking companies. Trucking companies and other shippers bend over backwards for customers who bring them large volumes of business, especially in these tough economic times. Online school lockers vendors get great rates on shipping and pass those savings on to schools. The very best online vendors have warehouses all over the country, further cutting shipping costs to schools: and that saves money!

3. Buying Online Doesn’t Waste School Employee Time, and That Saves Money

The old saying that “time is money” is just as true when it comes to shopping for and buying school equipment as it is for anything else. School employees no longer have to be paid to spend hours on end traveling to different local equipment suppliers or leafing through mountains of catalogues trying to find what they need at the right price.

A good online school lockers supplier will carry a dozen or more different brands and they can all be viewed quickly and easily at the touch of a button. If the school needs metal, wood, employee, plastic, or any other kind of locker in virtually any color, chances are all of the choices available will be right there at the same place. The time spent paying employees to find just what a school needs is drastically reduced, and that saves money!

Buying lockers online saves schools money by getting equipment at a reduced price, paying much lower shipping costs, and saving valuable employee time: and that just makes good fiscal sense.

We have helped many schools with their lockers and toilet partition needs, and have saved their budgets thousands of dollars.

What additional cost saving measures can you recommend to your school or university?
